- EasyForge is very easy.
- You can use browser translation to understand the instructions to your own language.
- You can add external models as well.
Introduction
Hello, this is Easygoing.
Today, I’m going to show you the easiest way to get started with the popular Flux.1.
What is EasyForge?
As of August 26, 2024, the easiest way to use Flux.1 locally is through Stable Diffusion webUI Forge.
EasyForge is a tool that allows you to install Forge with just one click. It’s developed by Zuntan, the same person who released EasySdxlWebUI.
The EasyForge download page is displayed in Japanese, but you can use your browser's translation feature to understand most of it in English without any issues.
Even if you're already using Forge, you can install EasyForge in a different folder to create a new environment exclusively for Flux.1 without affecting your existing setup.
Required Free Space for Installation
You'll need about 35GB of free space for the installation.
If you add and download models, each model takes around 7–20GB of space.
How to Install EasyForge
Download EasyForgeInstaller.bat
First, visit Zuntan03's page on GitHub.
Scroll down, read the instructions carefully, and click the link for EasyForgeInstaller.bat.

A page with code will be displayed. Right-click and select Save As.

Make sure to save the file with the .bat extension.

If you're having trouble editing the extension, go to View → File Name Extensions in File Explorer and manually change the extension to .bat.
Running EasyForgeInstaller.bat
Next, place EasyForgeInstaller.bat in the folder where you want to install EasyForge.
It’s recommended to create a folder named EasyForge directly under the C: drive.
Once you're ready, run EasyForgeInstaller.bat.
If you see a message saying, "Windows protected your PC", click "More info" and then Run.
The download will start automatically.
Downloading the Model
Once the download is complete, you’ll find the following files in the folder:

Inside the download folder, run Flux-Minimum.bat.

This will automatically download the minimal version of Flux.1.
Finally, Run Forge!
After the download finishes, run Forge.bat from the original folder.
It might take a while to launch the first time, but once it does, you’ll see the following screen:

First, select flux from the UI on the upper left.
Then, choose the model you want to use. By default, it’s set to flux1-schnell-bnb-nf4-v2.
Next, ensure that the following are selected for VAE / Text Encoder:
- t5xxl-Q6_K.gguf
- clip_l.safetensors
- ae.safetensors
Finally, set the sampling steps to 4.
Enter your prompt, click Generate, and the image will be created.

Adding Models
If you need additional models, you can use Forge's Civital Helper extension to view the images.
When choosing a compression format, pick Q_4 for models that allow selection, and Q_8 or NF4 for the others.
Comparison of FP16, Q_8, Q_4, and NF4 formats is summarized in another article.
Adding External Models
For models not in Civital, you can download them from other sites and put into EasyForgemodelsStable-diffusion
folder.
The blue_pencil-flux1 series used in the cover image also can be downloaded from this Hugging Face page.
